As Northwestern Pennsylvania’s only certified running coach, Mike Getz will guide you on your journey, drawing from hard-fought lessons from his storied 40-year running career during which he has excelled at races from 5K all the way up to 100-mile ultra-marathons.

About Coach Mike

For over 40 years, I have been an enthusiastic runner, participating in races ranging from 5k to 100-mile ultra-marathons. My most significant achievement was completing the Leadville Marathon, which is held at an elevation of over 10,000 feet.
Despite using various free online training plans over the past two decades, I have only found myself injured or failed to reach my goals. However, since becoming a UESCA certified coach, I have developed a personalized plan based on scientific research that has helped me achieve new heights in my running.
As a former teacher and elementary principal, I am excited to pair my teaching skills with my running expertise to help others achieve their running goals.
